Some people are very eloquent, even without speaking a work. It's the way Atobe snaps his fingers and has people jump, or Hikaru's eyes suddenly get serious.
This week... non-verbal communication. You can have dialogue, but focus on how people can communicate without speaking. Gestures, facial expressions, postures. Some characters - the silent ones - do this pretty often.
90 minutes to get your message across.
Challenge Two: Bad Days
There's a popular children's book called Alexander And The Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day. For those of you who don't remember this charming tale, it's basically about all the little things that go wrong in a little boy's day.
Your theme? Give a character a really bad day. Life's irritations can pile up, and it's time someone falls out of bed on the floor, finds the shower doesn't work, is having a bad hair day and finds out that someone made them gruel for breakfast and they have to eat it. And that's the high point.
Remember... it's not just the bad day that makes these stories work, it's the way the character reacts.
